Duck Duck Honk!

Duck Duck Honk! Synopsis

Three ducks live in a very beautiful pond. But they're far too busy showing off to notice it . . . One duck is the fanciest.

One duck is the fastest. One duck is the loudest. All day long they huff, puff and boast, determined to prove they're the best.

Then Goose arrives. Goose doesn't seem particularly fancy, fast or loud. She waddles.

She whistle-honks. She splashes in the pondweed. And somehow, she's having a wonderful time.

As the ducks watch Goose simply being Goose, they start to wonder if they've been missing something all along. Could there be more to life than being the biggest show-off in the pond? Featuring bestselling author-illustrator Philip Bunting's signature charming characters, witty text and playful repetition, Duck, Duck, Honk! is part of the Wise-ish Tales series - playful, story-led introductions to big ideas that children will want to read again and again.

Through the ducks' delightfully silly antics, children will discover a gentle message about letting go of the need to be the best and finding happiness in the simple joys all around them. Also available in the series: Starfish Stays Still!
