This is a story about a 12 year old boy named Callum McBride and his friend Emma Higgins. He was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. McBride. He had a brother called Iain who was 14 when he was adopted. Emma's father is a Professor. She has been in trouble with her last school for breaking into a Confidential site and ended up in trouble. She is very smart but has autistic tendencies.
He was having weird dreams and thought that this was what happened when you became a teenager. Callum finds out that he can teletransfer into the bodies and minds of animals. His first try was with a gull. It exhausted him, but the more he did it the better he got. Emma finds out that Callum has a twin brother called Carl and he lives with Dr. Christian Slack. Dr. Slack has been under suspicion by MI6, but nobody can prove he is doing anything wrong. Eventually, Callum and Emma find out that Carl and Dr. Slater are trying to steal a nuclear missile. They are trying to stop this from happening.
It ends quite quickly, but it leaves you with the impression that another book will follow.
This book would be interesting for the scientific student or someone interested in teletransference or telekinetics, etc....
I found it easy to read although it wouldn't be one that I would read again.
All young minds would enjoy reading this type of book, especially now.
