I know what it was like to be small and in the shadow of my big sister and as a consequence I wish I’d read this when I was little.
A wonderful story of sibling rivalry and of gaining confidence. Really special and one to be treasured on the bookshelf for a long time.
A little girl finds that no matter what she tries to do, she is always overshadowed by her older, bigger sister. But then Small comes into her own one day when her sister's parrot is caught up a tree and her sister is afraid to climb up to save it. This incident makes Small realize that she doesn't have to live in anyone's shadow any more.
