Meet Eddie. Eddie is a scooter dog and scooter dogs love to go superfast. Forced to walk, with his scooter in pieces, Eddie suddenly realises the amazing things you can see when you go a little slower. The blur of the field disentangles itself into all sorts of details – a sheep with a crow standing on its back, a tractor, a little rabbit eating a huge carrot; it’s the same with the woods and the beach too. It turns out that scooter dogs love walking – and, when scooters are fixed, scooter friends still love to go superfast!

Scooter kids will love this story, the delight Eddie takes as he speeds along, the details to spot in the scenery when we’re going at walking pace. It’s funny, eye-opening and a story of friendship too. Lo Cole’s illustrations match Eddie for speed, energy and skill.
