"Animal fun and games in the Australian bush"
A kangaroo collision with a eucalyptus tree causes a chain of comic events in this outback-set little picture book adventure. The bash as her head hits a branch knocks down the sleepy koala, the busy bug and the hungry water dragon lizard, with a passing emu caught up in the chaos. Fortunately, none of them is seriously hurt and the cumulative effects of the accident will certainly entertain its young audience.
As an added treat, the final page features The Crush Kangaroo’s Song with a jolly chorus that will have little Matildas and Mats dancing round the room!
They are all in search of some shade and food on a very hot day. The Koala, enjoying his eucalyptus leaves, watches as events happen around him. Then a bug, a water dragon lizard, an Emu and a mother Kangaroo with her Joey, all enter the story.
