Garden Surprise Synopsis

"Teamwork and curiosity are the building blocks for success in this entertaining and informative STEAM chapter-book series opener." - Booklist

Two friends dream up plans to build a tree house in a hidden garden and learn valuable lessons on STEAM, growth mindset, and community.

Nine-year-old besties Nour and August stumble upon the perfect place for their dream hideaway-a hidden garden full of majestic trees.

Excited to build a tree house, they design blueprints, research plant care, and collect necessary tools and materials. What was intended to be a secret hideaway becomes the perfect place for a once-hidden garden to come to life for their families to celebrate a very important birthday . . . and a long-lost friendship.

Through creativity, hard work, and a bit of mischief, the two friends realize their dreams, bring people together, and create an unforgettable summer.

The Garden Surprise is book one in the new Kaleidoscope Club chapter book series, with full-color illustrations throughout-a perfect series for readers 7 to 10 interested in friendship and learning more about nature, skill-building, and STEAM.
