LoveReading4Kids reviews self-published children's books, including picture books, for UK families and schools. A picture book review costs £120 and takes about 4 weeks; books our reviewers enjoy are listed on LoveReading4Kids for parents, grandparents and teachers to find.
We have been recommending children's books since 2005. Children's books are judged differently: the words have to work read aloud, the pictures have to carry the story, and the age has to be right. Our reviewers read with children in mind.

- Check the age range is clear on the cover and in the description.
- Read it aloud, more than once, to a child of that age.
- Make sure the print and Kindle files work: picture-book spreads and large text are where self-published files most often break. Our guide for self-published authors explains how to get the files right.
