Ffion Robinson is an Education Officer for The National Association for Special Education Needs (NASEN), which is a not-for-profit charity which supports education professionals, schools, local authorities and government in shaping policy, strengthening inclusive practice, and improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs, disabilities and learning differences. Ffion is thrilled that NASEN and LoveReading4Kids are working in partnership, not least so that she can indulge her main passion in life: reading.
Ffion is a prolific reader who loves nothing more than to immerse herself in a good book- especially historical fiction! As a secondary English teacher and literacy lead, Ffion was passionate about sharing her love of reading with her students and found nothing more thrilling than witnessing a good text working its magic on even the most sceptical teenager.
Ffion's experiences as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) in both primary and secondary schools highlighted how important accessible and inclusive practice is in ensuring that all children and young people have equal access to reading, literature and all genres of the written word. Little tweaks go a long way.
