Ailie Busby - Illustrator

About the Illustrator

Ailie Busby was born in London and grew up in Corby, Northamptonshire. She studied graphic design at Nene College, illustration at East Anglia Polytechnic in Cambridge and printmaking at Chelsea and Westminster College. She has been illustrating books for over 15 years. Ailie's wonderfully observant eye and her sense of humour bring great charm and fun to her illustrations.

Ailie's books include The Toothfairy Loses a Tooth! (Little Simon), The Quiet Woman and the Noisy Dog (Andersen), Hey, Diddle Diddle, Rosie's Zoo and Christmas is Coming, as well as the successful large format nursery rhyme book, Time for a Rhyme. She lives in Newcastle with her husband and two young children.
