Eleonora Asparuhova - Illustrator

Eleonora Asparuhova is an Illustrator & 2D Animator originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, currently based in Liverpool, UK.

Her work is strongly influenced by her cultural background and combines her experiences of two very contrasting worlds - growing up in Bulgaria, and developing her career in the UK. She is inspired by culture, folklore and fairytales, which she likes to illustrate in a whimsical way, using both traditional and digital techniques, with an undertone of nostalgia and symbolism prominent in her work. She is currently producing her own animated films and illustrates children's books - including The Girl, The Ghost and the Lost Name and The Lonely Lighthouse of Elston-Fright by Reece Carter.
