Rose Robbins is a Children’s Book author and illustrator based in London, who focuses on topics around disability, relationships and communication. She is known for featuring and celebrating differences in her work, taking inspiration from her own life experiences as both a young carer and a late-diagnosed autistic person.
Rose is a qualified teacher with specialism in Art and SEND, and is also an alumni of the Cambridge School of Art MA in Children’s Books. Rose runs inclusive creative workshops in schools and libraries for children and young people, these have included (but are by no means limited to!) puppet-making, sensory stories, animation, comic and narrative storytelling. She is especially keen to collaborate with SEND provisions in local libraries and schools to produce bespoke activities that suit all abilities.
Rose is a passionate advocate for the rights of disabled people, a long time collaborator with Inclusive Minds as an Authenticity Advocate, speaking at the London Book Fair and writing for SEN magazine. Rose has also worked with the Charity Sibs UK, who support siblings of people with learning disabilities.
