Errol Lloyd - Illustrator

Born in Jamaica and coming to the UK as a young man, Errol Lloyd was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal for illustration for his first full-colour picture book, ‘My Brother Sean’, written by Petronella Breinburg. Since then, Errol’s work for children has included over 20 books, plays for the Tricycle (now Kiln) Theatre, the Oxford Playhouse and Carib Theatre, and hundreds of school and library visits. His main aim is to write stories featuring children from ethnic minorities, but appealing to all. He lives in north London.
