I loved this book! It is so funny and it has buckets of charm with a few ups and down with the characters, making a mix that deems it unbearable to put down and impossible to stop reading!
This book is about Rose and her guinea pig. She meets Merdyn the Wild who has been banished to the 21st century and wants to return to the Dark Ages.
The Wizard in My Shed is about a girl who is called Rose Falvey, she has a brother called Kris. Her dad died suddenly, leaving her with her mum and brother. One day, Rose decides to escape with her pet guinea pig, then, she meets Merdyn the wizard. He is the greatest warlock of all time and has been banished to the 21st century and wants to return to the Dark Ages.
She helps the wizard because, she is desperate to get a singing potion. Soon, Rose becomes close to Merdyn, and makes a shocking discovery.
This book is suitable for both boys and girls and would be enjoyed by anyone who likes adventure and fantasy stories. I would give it five stars out of five.

Meet Medryn the Wild! He's from the dark ages and he is the greatest warlock. Rose is a young girl approximately 11 or 12 years of age and she is from Bashingford. When she decides to run away from her broken family, she bumps into Medryn, who she decides to help and teaches him the modern ways to do things. Rose lets him stay in the shed in her garden and her mum thinks it is Rose's uncle Martin! When the family go to a magic show Medryn thinks the magician is his arch enemy. They have a battle of magic but it turns out Medryn was wrong! Before long, he is famous and forgets Rose and everything she has done for him. However, he soon realises what he's done and how selfish he has been...
I would really recommend this book for 9+ readers and people who are into fiction, witches and spooky stuff. I really liked the main characters because they were interesting and I enjoyed how Rose changed through the book. I would give this a rating of 5 stars out of 5!
A brilliant read of wizards and magic. Put this together with a young school girl and her family and you'll find you won't put the book down. Exciting, gripping and full of twists and turns. Definitely a must read for any boy or girl who likes adventure.
This book was brilliant and had me hooked from start to finish.
Merdyn is a warlock from another time who tries to get home to his own time. Whilst stuck in our time he builds a relationship with Rose a young girl who desperately wants to become a singer.
The story tells the trials and tribulations of both characters and ends brilliantly with an exciting battle of wizards.
This book is ideal for boys or girls and you won't need to like wizards and magic to enjoy it. Once you pick it up you definitely won't put it back down.
