There's an Ocean in This Book

A colourful book about the ocean which is beautiful and informative

I really liked this book. I love the ocean and loved learning new things about it. The flaps and pages to open up were really fun. The pictures were really nice and I learnt new things that I didn’t know before.

Beautifully illustrated, full of fascinating facts about the oceans. Delve into the ocean zones and find out more about the animals that live in these beautiful waters.

A great book for Key Stage 2. Full of interesting facts, beautiful illustrations and pages that flap to reveal further pictures and information. This hardback book has a contents page and takes you through the ocean explaining things like ocean zones and which animals you might find in different oceans. A great geographical resource and perfect for our Year 3 topic on oceans.

This is a really interesting book with lots of information about how oceans work. I loved the pictures and it even had flaps to lift up to find out more!

There is an Ocean in This book is a really good book with lots of bright pictures, loads of information and flaps which you can lift up to find out more facts!
It tells you all about the different oceans and some extra information about cool places underwater. We learnt about oceans at school but I still learnt loads from this book! Did you know that the moon makes the ocean move? My favourite part of the book was the bit that talks about the Mariana Trench which is the deepest part of the ocean. The deep sea creatures that live there must be really strong to survive the pressure of all the water pushing down on them! I think being down so deep would be extremely scary because it would be so dark. There is so much information in this book I forgot some of it by the time I got to the end. I will have to read it again!

Colourful and packed full of facts.

I liked this book because the pictures are so cool. There is lots of facts about the different oceans in it. I liked the fold out pages and the pages about the different oceans. The pictures were so nice to look at.
The part about the great barrier reef was my favourite with the facts about the deadly creatures and seeing all the colourful fish and coral.

As a parent it was very informative and went well with the learning going on at school for world ocean day! A great reference book for them to go back to again and again when they want to learn or look at things in more detail.

Ocean Animals, Flaps and Fun Facts – This Book Is AWESOME!

I really liked There's an Ocean in This Book! It's fun to hold and touch because the animals and waves are bumpy and raised so you can feel them with your fingers. Every page has loads of bright, cool pictures and fun facts. One fact said there’s enough ocean water to fill bathtubs all the way to the moon and back five times! That was amazing!

I liked reading about the ocean sports like scuba diving, and the jobs you can do, like being a marine biologist (that’s someone who studies things that live in the sea). There are so many animals to learn about, and there are lots of flaps you can lift to find even more surprises underneath.

There are quite a lot of words, and I liked just looking at the pictures too sometimes. At the back there’s a glossary with big words and what they mean, and it’s fun to quiz your grown-ups with it!

This book was really fun and interesting, and I’d love to read more like it about other things too.
