Amazing! Five stars! Flember: The Golden Heart is an epic end to the Flember series. It was a great read and I couldn’t put it down.
This is an excellent end to the Flember series. Jamie Smart’s books always make for a fantastic read and this one is no exception.
Dev Everdew, an inventor, has to stop Iola Gray but this time without the help of his brilliant robotic bear, Boja, who was stuck in the Flember stream. Can Dev defeat Iola without Boja or will the town of Eden perish?
It’s a tense book and full to the brim with action.
I’d recommend this book to fans of Jamie Smart’s other series; Bunny vs Monkey and Looshkin.
This is definitely a 5 star book!
A must have for fans of the series
People who have read previous books by Jamie Smart should pick this book up. The book cover is very bright and full of details that give away awaiting adventure.As I haven’t read previous parts of this series,it was like reading a standalone story.
The book comes with lots of amazing drawings that help you to imagine how the story goes.
Basically, it is like having all the characters appear in front of you and watching VR.
I found the story funny and to be honest the blurb wasn’t right, there were more than a couple of farts in this book! Ha,Ha!
It is a different genre to the books I read, but it was a good one. I love how Santoro and Dev can’t be without their bestest friend Boja. Boja is the kind of friend we all need in life, silly and goofy, but when needing help he makes sure he can do whatever he can to help even when his own life is at risk. If you know the characters already, you will definitely want to carry on the series reading. If unfamiliar - yes, I do recommend… try to start from the beginning, although this book can be a separate story.
Farty fun and full of flember.
I liked this book because it was such a great story of the quest. It was funny and silly at times but also had a mission that needed to be completed. I loved all the bits with the farts which was so funny.
A great book for the next step after completing all the bunny versus monkey series.
Flember: The Golden Heart is a great and quick read for a younger audience. I personally really enjoyed this book and the characters within it. This book really goes into depth of the island's secrets and wildlife. Such a fantastic read!
Flember: The Golden Heart is an amazing adventure book with great stakes and phenomenal characters. The story entails the main characters Dev, Santoro and Boja on an adventure to restore the magical tree's (Eden) flember, the magical power that flows on the island and save their home and their friends. The story starts with Dev, Santoro and Boja asleep in the forest as Dev wakes up to being dragged away by a dark wolf. Dev and the others escape from the wolf but during the chase the pages of their dad's journal with the information to save the Eden tree gets ruined and lost in the mud. The rest of the story is a journey is the 3 of them trying to get home and restore the Eden tree's Flember. However not everything goes to plan and through their journey they end up taking detours, coming across powerful enemies and friends going missing. I personally really like this book because of the characters and their uniqueness, Dev with his inventions, Santoro with his fighting spirit and Boja the unmistakable Flember Bear. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys adventure books, anyone who is younger and looking for a quick read. Overall this book is a fun read with an interesting story with great illustrations.

The Golden Heart is a 10 out of 10 book for me, but there are a few things that I'd love to see in the next books by the author.
Firstly, I'd like to see more action at the and because, when I started reading this one, it had amazing vocabulary and lots of action, but when I carried on reading the book, it started to get a bit dull as there weren't many fight scenes.
Secondly, if Jamie Smart ever does make Flember 6, it needs to be about Boja coming back since he is one of the main characters in the book, but also we need to see some new people with their own personalities. Finally, could there be a book where he could add two of Jamie's books together like Bunny vs Monkey and Flember.
Overall, the author has done a brilliant job and I can't wait to review a book of his again.
