Crunch the guinea pig loves to eat and spends all his time doing just that! But when an uninvited guest tries to share in Crunch's plentiful supply of food, Crunch is challenged to make a choice about his future. Choosing between something you love and the unknown is hard. But sometimes the rewards for stepping out and embracing new experiences are far more worthwhile than you might imagine!
Stimulates discussions about the benefits of sharing possessions and trying new
things. Promotes empathy - an ideal way to gently persuade children to be more
generous. The theme of food in the book can be linked to many topics, such as eating in moderation and maintaining a balanced diet.

Carolina’s childhood memories are of endless happy hours spent drawing, and of listening to her brother’s exciting bedtime stories. While studying Graphics and Fine Art she realized that she had a passion for illustrating stories, so enrolled on the MA course in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Carolina was inspired to write Crunch! by her cute guinea pig’s love of food. She created the story to explore the theme of sharing. Carolina says that if something makes you happy, it can make others happy too!
