Love is … lots of different things in this delightful picture book: love is ‘that going out feeling when your feet are all warm in your boots’, or ‘love feels like sharing a story, all tucked up and snug in your bed’ – all things in fact that toddlers everywhere will be familiar with. What makes them magical, is the presence of that special person, Mum, who puts love into every daily activity. The text exudes warmth and happiness, and the illustrations of the little bunny skipping through the day with mum then snuggling down to sleep, are full of tenderness. ~ Andrea Reece
A Piece of Passion from editor, Leilani Sparrow ~
"Love is that magical feeling
when you wake up and see a big smile,
bright, shining eyes and arms reaching out
then having a hug for a while.
There is something intensely beautiful and lyrical about this text. It is a special book for special people, a celebration of love and family, and all that it entails. It’s in every detail of every day, going the extra-mile, always being there and fixing things that are wrong. We wanted the artwork to convey the joy that is encapsulated in the text, and John Butler’s characters really capture the affection between the bunny, his family and friends. It’s magical and we hope that you enjoy sharing it."
A wonderful celebration of a bunny’s love for family and life. Love is a magical feeling when you wake up and see a big smile, bright, shining eyes and arms reaching out, then having a hug for a while.
