In a nutshell: domestic crime dramas delightfully told and illustrated |   Dorothy Constance Mae Louise, aka Dot, has her own super-sleuthing detective agency with her dog McClusky and her best friend Beans. In this episode, they are off on the school trip to an adventure camp. Excitement at school has been running high, but Dot notices that classmate Laura is clearly up to something. The trip is very eventful, and by using their detective skills, Beans and Dot work out what Laura was doing, and why – the why is a surprise, and makes them see Laura in a new light. The Join the Dots Detectives: Dot, Beans and McClusky are back on the case in a third, brand-new mystery!

Dot and Beans can't wait for their school trip to Adventure Camp where they will do lots of exciting activities like zip-wiring, grass tobogganing and roasting marshmallows round a campfire! But once they arrive, strange things start happening. Could mean girl Laura could be up to her old tricks in a bid to win the Adventure Camp Prize...?

It's up to the Join the Dots Detectives to find out! Meanwhile, TOP DOG McClusky is entered into a local dog show! Will he keep up his training while Dot's away and win the prize for handsomest pooch?

About Clara Vulliamy

Clara Vulliamy was born in London, the daughter of author and illustrator Shirley Hughes and her husband, John Vulliamy. She studied at Chelsea School of Art, The Ruskin and the Royal Academy. Clara started concentrating on writing and illustrating children's books when she had children of her own and has now written and illustrated many stories for children and babies. She lives in Twickenham, with her husband and their children Jack and Martha and three guinea pigs.
