"Ghosts, mystery and more than a pinch of magic "
March 2022 Book of the Month
It’s always exciting to step out on an adventure with the Widdershins sisters, Fliss, Betty and Charlie, and this one, full of mystery, old myths and more than a pinch of magic, is particularly spellbinding. The girls have accompanied their granny to care for cousin Clarissa in Wilderness, one of the coldest places in the country.
Staying in creaky Echo Hall hotel, they are intrigued by old tales of the ghostly highwayman, said to appear at night looking for lost treasure, and of the tragic story of the girl who loved him. But maybe they’re more than just stories. Certainly some of their fellow guests believe the treasure is real, and they’re out to find it, whatever it takes.
There’s icy danger for the girls, as well as some ghostly new friends. However dark things get, the sisters face the challenges together, and for all the shivers it sends down the spine, this story is as warming as a mug of hot chocolate, and just as delicious.

From ghostly girls to mysterious fortune tellers this book really has it all.
This book is the fourth in the Pinch of Magic series and I personally feel like it lived up to the standard of the other three novels entirely. The Widdershin sisters have never been lucky and it remains true in this tale. From ghostly girls to mysterious fortune tellers this book really has it all.
When Fliss, Charlie and Betty stay with their cousin Clarissa in the wilderness they can’t help but stumble across ghostly tales and frozen ice. Not only is the snow coming down thicker than ever, there appears to be a ghost haunting their room!
This adventure was so captivating that I could not stop reading this book.... Read Full Review
A magical book of mysteries intertwined, misunderstood prophecies and three sisters who seem to attract trouble.
A magical book of mysteries intertwined, misunderstood prophecies and three sisters who seem to attract trouble. Charlie, Felicity and Betty embark on a journey to the town of Wilderness, where mystery and magic roam free. Unbeknownst to them, things long since passed are converging around them and coming into light. Mysteries thought ended begin to unravel. While the snowstorm rages the sisters embark on a mystical journey, unknown to their grandma, and magic and mischief unfold. There seems to be plenty to do in Wilderness, with the annual winter market and the legend of the highwayman and his lost love, but secrets are swirling beneath thin ice and it cannot hold forever. An amazing story of magic and mystery, which kept me coming back for more. Well-planned and truly amazing plot twists that I never saw coming.... Read Full Review
