What a delight! This book is appealing on so many levels. There's the rhyming storyline which is always nice to read to young listeners. The drawings that can be coloured in. The educational aspect of the life cycle of the bees - who knew there were so many species - which is interesting for all ages and a future reference point. Also, the idea of making a wild flower garden to put all that is in the book into practice.
This is a wonderful book for youngsters to engage with nature and understand the importance of bees in our world. Definitely recommended.

Nicely presented and suitable for early readers.
The premise behind this book is admirable, in teaching young children the importance of bees in our natural world. I do wonder though why it is so common for stories for the young reader to be always in rhyme. I say this because I thought some of the rhyming here was rather forced and didn't work and it took my mind away from the message being conveyed.
I like the idea of a child being able to colour in some pictures themselves, I am sure that will be quite popular. The illustrations were very simple and so the young reader would find it easy to replicate this themselves in their own colouring.
