This second book in the fart-abulous A Very Fiery Fairy Tale series is a rip-roaring, rhyming picture book that lets rip in all the right places! Author-illustrator Beach sure knows how to blend the perennial delights of parp-related humour with dazzlingly detailed illustrations, and an amusing adventure story that hits the spot.

Poor Dragon is feeling somewhat down in the dumps. As he shares with Sir Wayne, “It’s just so unfair…Each time I breathe fire it comes out the wrong end!” in the form of farts that send him shooting around the sky! 

Thankfully Wayne has a plan to put things right – they’ll do everything backwards, like un-pouring tea and un-washing their faces. When they take this reversal logic to the extreme and swap outfits Dragon experiences a scary loss of fire-releasing skills, until the story comes full circle – young readers will be tickled pink when they read that “two blazing bottoms are better than one”.

This is great fun to read aloud, with lots of illustrative detail to discuss.
