"Funny football stories for all"
Whether you love football, hate football, or are completely indifferent to it, this book will still have you rolling around on the touchline.
Campbell is a stand-up comic and knows all about timing and how to make his audience laugh. He has packed the book with football facts, true but surprising (and often very funny), as well as side-splitting football stories about the history and origins of the game, about its top players and other football-related things from club badges to playing rules and the World Cup.
Every page is guaranteed to grab the imagination and it’s the perfect thing for dipping into at half-time or while you’re waiting for a VAR decision. With brilliant black and white illustrations throughout by Rob Jones, it looks great too. For fans and non-believers alike, football has never been so funny.
A hilarious fact and fiction hybrid from bestselling author and stand-up comic James Campbell, who has visited over 3,000 primary schools to tell stories and encourage children to write their own.
