"Bonnie’s Ninja training continues with positive messages of kindness and perseverance. "
Bonnie’s Ninja training continues with positive messages of kindness and perseverance. The next step in Bonnie’s Ninja training - practice. In ‘Invisible Pumpkins - Sowing Seeds’, we meet four year old Bonnie who wants to be the best ninja ever. Her Grandpa Noo encourages her, saying that doing good deeds without being seen is the best way to be a ninja. As Invisible Pumpkins - Thirsty Seedlings’ begins, it’s the next day and Bonnie needs to start practicing, but being a ninja is harder than it looks. Thankfully Grandpa Noo is on hand to encourage Bonnie to keep going and lend a bit of a helping hand. I like the positive messages in these books so far. Book one encourages young readers to believe in themselves to achieve and the value of good deeds. Now in this second book we see Bonnie keep going despite a few of her training ideas going awry. The importance of learning from mistakes, not giving up and keeping practicing to improve are key in this part of Bonnie’s story. The same style of calming, neutral generated illustrations depict Bonnie's adventures in this book. With the supportive family relationships in these stories they would be nice for a grandparent to read with their grandchildren.
