Worm is busy, Gary the Dinosaur has been gone for a very long time and Rock begins to feel a little forgotten. Along the way, readers are taken on a gentle journey through the history of the Earth, all seen through Rock's eyes.

Eoin McLaughlin blends humour and emotion perfectly, creating a character that children will laugh with whilst also understanding his feelings. Beneath the amusing observations is a reassuring message about friendship, belonging and the value of those who stay with us through life's changes.

Mark Chambers' lively illustrations bring plenty of personality and help tell the story beautifully. Full of charm, humour and warmth, I, Rock is a wonderful book to share at home.
