Fun to read and well-matched by their illustrations, these four short stories tell of yet more dramatic and hilarious adventures for Winnie the Witch and her cat Wilbur. Winnie variously tries to find the perfect pet, to fix things with her often imperfect spells, gets involved with school dinners with disastrous results and becomes a twit alongside Jerry the local giant. All in all a rollicking and robust collection of fun stories.
A small number of children were lucky enough to be invited to read and review Mini Winnie which is the first Winnie Young Fiction title. Here's a taster....'Each page of the book is crammed full of really cool jokes and Korky Paul’s illustrations are great, making me chuckle away for hours. It’s a fantastic book and I can’t wait to get hold of more of the series to see what Winnie gets up to.'....

Winnie the Witch is an accident waiting to happen! In 'Winnie and the Cog' you'll find her creating a most unusual pet; in 'Winnie's School Dinner' she has some new interpretations of canteen favourites, in 'Winnie Fixes It' she takes on some home improvements with dramatic results; and in 'Winnie the Twit' Winnie fancies herself as a bit of a naturalist. Four crazily funny stories featuring everyone's favourite witch, her big black cat, Wilbur, and a zany supporting cast of new characters. Korky Paul's exuberant black line illustrations complement the humour, slapstick, and moments of real drama that run through each story.
Winnie the Twit is perfect for children moving on from picture books but don’t want too many words on a page. Click here to see other titles featuring Winnie.
