Terrific comedy adventures with a footballing twist that are sure to be loved by boys in particular as well as reluctant readers. These books show that mischievousness doesn’t necessarily mean naughty! The kids are part of an anything-but-ordinary football team. For starters each kid has wings, they’ve been booted out of heaven for bad behaviour by the Angel Gabriel and back on earth they must stay out of trouble or they’ll never be allowed back. Difficult when you have wings!
The first two in the series, Classroom Defenders and Zombies in the House are short novels and perfect for 7 year olds and upwards although older boys will equally enjoy them for their interest level.
Still stuck on Earth, Alex and the gang need to find something to redeem themselves with so they can return to their positions as the top junior football team in Heaven. Perhaps hospital radio might be the way to go? But there is something very odd about these particular patients.
