The intense aquamarine waters contrasting with dark purple stormy skies are spectacular and they are the perfect backdrop for the vivid technicolour underwater inhabitants. The clever design using a variety of layouts, from small vignettes against a white background to full colour pages really engage the reader and sweep the story along.

Gigantic is a tiny blue whale having difficulty in living up to his name and his brother Titan never lets him forget it with his cruel taunts. Titan cannot even accept that Gigantic has his own talents and gets jealous when his friends admire his siblings athletic diving and dancing with his tiny pals. Trying to prove he is better leads to a disastrous beaching and only the little whale and his friends working together can help rescue Titan, proving that the only size that matters is the size of your heart.

A lovely positive message told in lively rhyming text that flows as effortlessly as Gigantic’s leaps and dives and makes a perfect read aloud.
