Trixie and Belinda are sisters but they couldn't be more different! Belinda is a born ballerina and the star of Madame Mina's dance class. As far as Madame Mina is concerned, Trixie just has 'naughty toes'. Only Mr Tiempo, the class pianist, has spotted Trixie's talents. He tells Trixie she must follow her feet to reach her dreams.

Naughty Toes is narrated by a little girl called Trixie. At the start of the story she compares herself to her sister, Belinda, who is, we are told, a ballerina. Trixie, however, is not.
