A little girl introduces us to her magic family, comprising ‘Mama, Mum and me’. At nursery she asks her teacher whether all children have two mums. The teacher asks the class, and the answers are lovely, as the children proudly describe their wonderful families, assigning the adults in their lives all sorts of unusual jobs and quite a few magical powers too.
It makes for a very lively, varied, all-embracing story, told through sparky rhymes and in joyful pictures. Overall, too it’s full of love, and that’s where we end, ‘But a family is magic, no matter who is who/ Real and fantastical, they’re full of love for you!’
