An absolutely gripping spy adventure packed full of mystery, intrigue and high paced drama. It combines the action-packed exploits of Alex Rider, with the historical advnetures of Young Indiana Jones, in a classic story of one boy's fight to find his father.

Trey is off on the Orient Express to take a tour of Europe with his father. Even before the train has left the Gare de Lyon, Trey has a strong feeling that he is being watched… Should he behave like Trent ‘Pistol’ Gripp, his favourite fictional character, and confront the man. Soon Trey has to take brave decisions of his own – when he finds himself on the run in very dangerous circumstances.

Talking about his new book Graham says: I Spy gets its inspiration from a number of places, not least is just the idea of Constantinople; it was so exotic and seemed to exemplify the whole spy genre. And that’s why the book is set in 1927, because Constantinople’s name was changed to Istanbul in 1930.’ Graham travelled to Istanbul to research the book: ‘a lot of the city hadn’t changed much since the time when the story takes place. I came back with a head full of history, and an imagination totally fired up and ready to go.’ Graham also acknowledged a debt to the pulp fiction era which he loves ‐ John Buchan stories, Erskine Childers’ ‘Riddle of the Sands’, tales by Anthony Hope and Eric Ambler – the fantastic covers and rip‐snorting storytelling. ‘I see I Spy as a roaring homage to all of this’ Marks said.
