This is the dramatic conclusion to the incredible Companions Quartet that began with Secret of the Sirens, continued in The Gorgon’s Gaze and Mines of the Minotaur. The final showdown has begun between brave Connie, the world’s only Universal, and Kullervo, the shapeshifter hell-bent on destroying humanity. The battle between him and Connie will be a fight to the death, and the prize will be the future of mankind. Its environmental themes will inspire young readers to question what goes on around them and to wonder if they, like Connie, can make a difference.
