Phoebe is a sweet and likeable character, and it was enjoyable to witness her discover her powers. However, it’s mainly through her kindness that Phoebe makes many allies to help her in her fight against Lucinda. I think that this book would be easy to read and enjoyable for independent readers and fans of middle-grade fantasy books.
