With his big, big mouth and big, big claws, Ty is the biggest and baddest of all the Tyrannosaurus dinosaurs. But Ty has a tiny, tiny sister called Teri who loves and looks up to her big brother very much. But for Ty, when he goes off hunting his little sister becomes a big, big problem.
Paul originally trained as an engineer - which is rather unusual for a children's author - and spent many years working in England, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and Spain. He used to make notes for stories when he was sitting in meetings, or travelling on trains and planes. Poems were the first things he had published, followed by picture books. His first picture book, ‘Under the Bed’, was published in 2003. The second book, ‘Quiet!’ was shortlisted for the Blue Peter Book Award (it didn’t win but he got a Blue Peter badge!). Paul has now had about 20 picture books published. In 2016 Paul was one of four authors chosen to write new Winnie-the-Pooh stories for Pooh’s 90th birthday in a collection called ‘The Best Bear in All the World’ (reissued in a bright purple colour to celebrate Pooh’s 100th birthday in 2026).
