Winner of the 6 and under category in the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2009.
Pusskins is a larger-than-life character and it comes as no surprise that it has been shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funniest book prize!! There is fun and excitement on every page as well as a mixture of emotions brought to life through this superb character. Thankfully it all ends happily in the end for Pusskins.
Michael Rosen, former Children's Laureate and one of the judges for the 2009 Roald Dahl Funny Prize said of this book:
'A ridiculously funny book, full of marvellously mischievous cartooning'.
From the moment Mr Pusskins spies the prize for Best-Looking Pet, he is smitten. He just has to get his paws on that trophy, and nothing, NOTHING is going to stand in his way ...not even that mean, double-crossing poodle, Madame Fifi Fou-Fou. Mr Pusskins won the Booktrust Early Years Award, was a New York Times Bestseller and his character is recognised as being the grumpiest yet most lovable ginger cat in the children's book world today.
