The story of one dog and his boy, determined to be reunited, against all the odds. In Ukraine, Dani is forced to flee his home when war strikes, leaving his dad and his beloved dog Zini behind. In England, Lilly can't wait to welcome the boy from Ukraine, certain he will be the best friend she has always dreamed of.
Fiercely loyal, Zini sets off on an epic journey across the war-torn land, through burned-out villages, cities under siege, and crossing icy rivers, forests, and mountains. Facing perils and dangers at every turn, will he be able to find his boy? A thrilling and heartbreaking contemporary wartime adventure, perfect for fans of War Horse and I Am Rebel.
