Children's Art Week is a UK-wide celebration of art and artists and takes place across 3 weeks, from 29th June to 19th July. Run by Engage (the National Association for Gallery Education) schools, galleries and museums are encouraged to provide activities and programmes to inspire young artists.

Each week has a different theme:

Week 1 - The Natural World

Week 2 - Connecting across generations

Week 3 - Literacy and creative writing

With the holidays looming on the horizon, why not plan some time for art, a trip to a local art gallery or perhaps try a creative activity you haven't tried before? It’s a great way to fire their imagination for painting and drawing. We have a range of reads suitable for a variety of ages, and other inspiring art themed books to enjoy with the whole family.

Practical, step-by-step guides, with tips and techniques - great for your novice artist but plenty to help and inspire your more experienced artist too. We also have biographies of famous artists, and fictional stories that demonstrate the theraputic power of art
