Award winning Harry Woodgate has followed up Grandad’s Camper with a new story about Grandad and his loving family.
Grandad tells Milly all about his younger days when he and Gramps partied at the Pride marches together. He says he is now too old to travel to join the big Pride party celebrations so Milly decides to get Pride to come to him.
Making rainbow bunting and rainbow cakes and rainbow clothes, friends and neighbours in the village all contribute to making a great local Pride event just for Grandad. But, will he turn up if his beloved Gramps is missing?

About Harry Woodgate
Harry Woodgate (pronouns: they/them) is a multi-award-winning author and illustrator, whose debut picture book Grandad’s Camper won the British Book Award for Children’s Illustrated Book of the Year and the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, was shortlisted for the Polari Prize, and named as an ALA Stonewall Honor Book. When they’re not creating amazing books, they love writing music, cycling, baking, and exploring independent coffee shops and bookstores. Grandad's Camper was inspired by their university dissertation, which revealed a lack of representation for older LGBT characters in children's books.
