This sturdy, interactive board book is designed to help young children build confidence and develop strategies they can use when they are feeling nervous or unsure.

We follow a little girl as she goes to a party. Like many little children, she’s feeling quite shy, but copes with that in various ways. She reminds herself that the other children might be nervous too, that acting brave, even pretending to have a superpower can make you feel braver.

There’s a wheel to turn on every page, that reveals different statements to build up confidence, such as ‘I believe in myself’, ‘my feelings matter’ and ‘it’s OK to be scared’. The final spread shows readers a simple breathing technique that will also help.
