Suzie and the Moon Bugs

LoveReading4Kids Says

Suzie Wen, human girl, inventor, crew member of the Space Blasters team is back for another funny, fast-moving, inventive adventure.

When their spaceship TUBS (The Universe’s Best Spaceship) starts behaving strangely and they have to make an emergency crash-landing on a mystery planet, Suzie discovers that an infestation of moon bugs is to blame. These fierce little creatures have a particular reason for taking over the ship, and the blame looks to lie with Spaceman Jack.

Can Suzie find out what’s gone on, and come up with a way to fix things so she and her crew mates can get their spaceship back? It’s an excellent adventure story and the black and white illustrations make it even more appealing for young readers. The authors cleverly weave STEM information into the story (I learned what guanine is!) and whatever is going on, Suzie approaches it like a true scientist. Great stuff!
