Every page of the book is crammed full of fascinating facts told in interesting and different ways. Open flaps, lift out facsimile documents including letters and a treasure map, handle a swatch of a pirate flag, discover what’s in the gold glitter pouches and read stories about real pirates from the past. All of this is possible and is guaranteed to provide hours of endless fun for readers – equally accessible to children and adults - time and time again as well as providing a genuine source of information. Why not take a look at the other title in the Pirateology series Pirateology Handbook? Also available in the 'Ology' series are Dragonology, Monsterology, Wizardology, and Mythology.

Pirateology Synopsis

Very much in the style of Templar's groundbreaking "Dragonology", "Piratology" is the 1720 work of Captain William Lubber, Pirate Hunter General to the Admiralty, and contains a similar variety of recreations and novelties, such as a real compass set into the cover, a hidden treasure map, a working sun-dial, a page of foiled, embossed doubloons and pieces of eight and much more. Lubber is also hot on the trail of wicked pirate Arabella Drummond, her cut-throat crew of sea dogs and her ship's cat, the redoubtable Mr. Teach. "Pirateology" follows the enormously successful "Dragonology", "Egyptology" and Wizardology", which have each sold over one million copies worldwide.
