Dugald Steer Press Reviews
"THIS is a magical account of dragons written as if it were ‘real’ like a dragon handbook. The illustrations are amazing with lift-up flaps, which even let you look inside the dragon to see bone and then muscle structure. Gruesome! The added extras really make this book special. There are miniature books, little secret envelopes, even some dragon dust to touch and a sample of dragon skin. This is a book as fascinating as it looks, full of facts and stories about dragons and their different types, history, biological facts and mythology. It’s a must-read for dragon lovers everywhere." - The Evening Chronicle
“For a child who has one foot in Middle Earth it would be hard to beat The Complete Book of Dragons (Templar £17.99) which is a jewel-studded scrapbook mixing reptilian fact and mythology. Told as if it were the collected wisdom of a late Victorian dragon hunter, the book is enhanced with specimen plates of shed skin and dragon dust well as Ralph Steadman-esque anatomies of our firebreathing friends. Along the way there are manifold pieces of wisdom for budding dragonologists, some - 'a flame-proof cloak may prove invaluable' - more obvious than others.” - The Observer
