"A gorgeous gift of poetry"
There should be a poetry anthology underneath every Christmas tree or in every Christmas stocking and A Whale of a Time will provide enjoyment and laughter all year round. It’s a chunky collection of funny poems, a handsome hardback, with generous, lively illustrations by Matt Hunt.
Here are poets and poems you’ll know – Hilaire Belloc, Roald Dahl, Edward Lear and our current Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho are all included - but, almost certainly, poets you won’t, new and old. Cleverly assembled, the collection is fresh and full of fun and there’s a poem to enjoy every day of the year. What more could you want?
A collection of 366 hilarious poems about animals, families, school, food, holidays, and much more!
