Shortlisted for The Branford Boase Award 2013
A bone-freezingly brilliant and gripping novel introducing an astounding, prizeworthy new voice in YA fiction.
Macmillan Children's Books Fiction Editor Emma Young said: "Everyone here at Macmillan Children's Books felt that Willo's extraordinary and endlessly affecting voice transported this gripping adventure firmly into prize-winning territory. Naive, bright, immensely entertaining—he is a character to treasure and to remember.. The winter of 2009 was extremely hard. I asked myself: what would happen if winter never ended?"
