More great reads: the best books for 7 year olds
The third in this series of hugely popular and outrageously funny stories about Mr Gum. Mr Gum is an unusually bad man. This time he’s up on Goblin mountain hatching his nasty plans. How will anyone outwit him? As ever, the answer is unexpected. It’ll take a lemon meringue pie to do it.
Side-splittingly funny, wild and wacky and full of mischief, Mr Gum and his many friends get mixed up in trolls and witches and a lot else besides as they conquer the forces of evil. Are you brave enough? This is the third Mr Gum and the first one; You’re a bad man Mr Gum won one of the major children’s book awards when it was published. It’s a real feel good book for young readers (6-9 year olds are likely to be the core readers but we have testimonials from younger and older readers too) as it’s a book with lots of pages but the text is laid out amongst some hilarious illustrations in such a way that you turn the pages really quickly.
Shabba me whiskers! It's one of those Mr Gum books by Andy Stanton. They're only the craziest, funnest most amazing books for children in the world. This is the third book!
